NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â While Tennessee and Kentucky are prioritizing vaccinations for educators, that doesn t extend to everyone in that field. In both states, only K-12 teachers qualify. College faculty were excluded, despite guidance to the contrary from the CDC. I mean, we feel dismissed, I would say, said Katie Foss, a Middle Tennessee State University professor in the College of Media and Entertainment that specializes in Health Communication. Things should be data driven and this is clearly not.
Illinois residents who work in Indiana no longer are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at a Hoosier State distribution site.
State health officials announced Wednesday that Indiana is ending first-dose vaccine appointments for out-of-state residents to focus on immunizing as many Hoosiers as possible against the coronavirus.
Non-Indiana residents who already received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Indiana still can follow through and get their second dose in the Hoosier State.

Dr. Lindsay Weaver, chief medical officer at the Indiana Department of Health, explained that Indiana opened eligibility to approximately 19,000 out-of-state residents when health care workers, nursing home residents and employees, and first responders were the primary focus of vaccination efforts.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) On February 12th, California Health Director Dr. Mark Ghaly announced that people from the ages of 16 to 64 who are severely disabled or have chronic health conditions will be prioritized for future COVID-19 vaccines.
The eligibility expansion only listed those that the state categorized as highest risk, including individuals with cancer, heart conditions, and severe obesity among others.
But if you keep scrolling down the list it also includes individuals who are likely to develop severe life-threatening illness or death from COVID, and California officials advise healthcare providers to use their best clinical judgement.
The announcement left many with underlying health conditions wondering if they too qualified.
