Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma led Assam government has decided that those who have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer have to undergo testing at airports and railway stations upon production of the inoculation certificate,
Economic Times.
CM Sarma has also instructed the administration to not release the monthly remuneration of the Anganwadi workers who do not take COVID-19 vaccines. He has stressed that Anganwadi workers directly deal with the most vulnerable sections of society and that it is very important that each one of them gets vaccinated at the earliest.
Researchers from the Hokkaido University have demonstrated that a simple, reliable, and accurate test (that uses saliva samples) can detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus within 35 minutes.
