Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence General
Ngo Xuan Lich hosted a reception
on February 19 for Chinese State Councillor and Minister
of Public Security
Zhao Kezhi, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
Minister Lich emphasised that the visit demonstrates the friendly neighbourliness, fraternal bond as well as the special relations between the Parties, States, and armed forces of the two countries.
He took the occasion to thank the National Immigration Administration of
China for donating medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention to
Vietnam’s Border Guard.

It warns using sound and images when someone walks in with a fever of 37.5
degree Celsius or more.
It said the system should be used at all buildings and quarantine areas in
place of people carrying digital thermometers to reduce the risk of
transmission.
QTSC has also developed a system for face identification, which sets off an
alarm if someone not wearing a mask enters a building.

Health facilities in Kampala Metropolitan Area have registered 48 per cent decline in acute respiratory illnesses among children aged below five, a new report indicates.
Up to 21,983 deaths nationally occurred among children aged below five, who suffered from respiratory illnesses, with pneumonia being one of the major causes, according to the 2019/2020 Annual Health Sector Performance Report.
Dr Theresa Piloya, a paediatric endocrinologist at Makerere University, who led the study in six health facilities in two sub-counties in Wakiso District, attributed the decline to Covid-19 prevention measures such as hand washing and wearing facemasks.
