More than 200,000 U.S. children and teens have lost a parent or other in-home caregiver to COVID-19. While losing a parent is always very hard for children, COVID has layers to it that can make healing even harder. What will help these children move forward?
Over five million children worldwide have been orphaned since the COVID-19 pandemic started, claims a Feb. 24 update of a Lancet study, which studied data through October 2021.
The orphaned children can find help just a click away and can contact any of the officers, numbers of whom have been saved in the phone`s contact list, T Akkeshwar Rao, District Welfare Officer (DWO) of Hyderabad said.
