So today we are reporting 139 new people diagnosed with COVID-19. Our daily incidents of disease continues to decrease in the last week. We have averaged about 150 new people diagnosed with COVID-19 each day. Uh and currently there are 1,118 people with active recurrent infection. Our test positivity rate, that s the percentage of all tests that are positive for COVID-19 also continues to slowly decline over the last seven days. Our seven day average test positivity is now below three at around 2.9%. Um Hospitalizations also continues to decrease. There are 48 people currently hospitalized statewide with Covid 19, which is a decrease from last week. Uh And then unfortunately, one new person to report who has died um related to Covid 19 this week o

LET’S KICK IT OFF WITH DR. CHAN AND AN UPDATE FROM PUBLIC HEALTH. DR. CHAN: A QUICK NUMBERS UPDATE FOR YOU. WE ARE REPORTING FIVE HUNDRED 15 NEW PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH COVID-19 IN THE STATE. IN THE LAST WEEK WE ARE AVERAGING OVER 400 NEW INFECTIONS EACH DAY AND THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WITH ACTIVE INFECTION OR ACTIVE COVID-19 IS 3585. THE TEST POSITIVITY RATE CONTINUES TO CREEP UP AND THE AVERAGE PERCENTAGE OF ALL THE TESTS THAT ARE POSITIVE CURRENTLY ARE 5.0%. HOSPITALIZATIONS ARE STARTING TO INCREASE AND THERE ARE 102 PEOPLE STATEWIDE NOW HOSPITALIZED WITH COVID-19, ALSO AN INCREASE FROM LAST WEEK. ONE NEW PERSON HAS DIED FROM COVID-19 IN THE STATE.
