COVID-19 in India latest: Kerala recorded 128 active coronavirus cases whereas Karnataka reported a total of 73 active COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours.
Upon the discovery of the JN.1 case in Kerala, its neighbouring state, Karnataka, made masks mandatory for senior citizens and those with comorbidities. But, the reason why the government is paying special attention to those above the age of 60 lies in the evidence from Singapore.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, active cases in Kerala rose by 578 to 4,953 on April 1. The total number of active cases in India is 18389.
