Covers receives fundraising award from Hampshire hospice 16 February, 2021 Mountbatten Hospice Covers Timber & Builders Merchants has been named as Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice’s Fundraising Charity Partnership of the Year in the charity’s annual awards. The builders’ merchant has supported the hospice for many years with donations from initiatives including its Help for Hospices campaign and more recently the company’s Christmas Jumper Day. Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice has been caring for people with life-limiting illnesses in Southampton and West Hampshire for over 40 years. This includes conditions such as respiratory disease, heart disease, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, and end-stage dementia, as well as cancer.

Covers donates over £15,000 to hospices with festive fashion fun day 15 December, 2020 SHARE Covers Timber & Builders Merchants has donated more than £15,000 to local hospices after members of staff took part in Christmas Jumper Day. The staff at the company got into the festive spirit by wearing an array of seasonally inspired sweaters and jumpers in return for a £2.00 donation. Covers further bolstered funds by making a donation of £5 for every transaction completed across its chain of 14 depots on the day. The hospices to benefit from the funding are St Wilfrid’s in Chichester, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care in Farnham, Martlets in Hove, St Peter & St James Hospice in Lewes, Hospice in the Weald in Tunbridge Wells, Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity in Southampton, St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley, The Rowans Hospice in Waterlooville and St Barnabas House in Worthing.
