will be bad news from a republican perspective. you ll hear about all the groups you ve been talking about, national groups on posed to the legislation. you ll hear about horror stories in terms of health care. what horror stories? it s not law. you want to talk about horror stories. i m talking about the coverage. the coverage will be about families. but the coverage won t be in place so howan there be a horror story? because continuing news business. because the news folks will go out there and cover individuals and families who did not have health insurance before obamacare and who will say that obamacare saved their lives. and if you take this away from them, terrible things will happen. why are we not making more of an effort in congress to find bipartisan support? otherwise, is it going to ping pong back and forth between republicans and democrats every time there is a change in the
shot or a field attempt. they re dubbing it the worst penalty shot in the world. i ll just call it hilarious. way to run it in, mario. here s nbc meteorologist bill karins. that was pretty entertaining. we re watching the threat of severe storms in the mid-atlantic into the northeast. not a large threat, but if you re traveling today in areas from new york city to pennsylvania, new jersey, we re going to see the storms rolling in. right now light rain this morning areas approaching harrisonburg and harrisburg, pennsylvania, and also d.c., but late this afternoon the area of yellow, we have the possibility of wind damage and large hail it includes a good section from state college to scranton, through philadelphia, baltimore and d.c. so we don t get too many bouts of severe storms, the coverage won t be that great. but whatever strong storms could dorm, could do some damage. that s why we have the thunderstorm chances in those areas. other storms are possible in the southeast. mid
people s premiums, partly because people who have coverage won t be paying any more for the free riders in the system. so i think this was a good day. to the extent that the republicans want to focus on this issue and this rear guard action in creating more uncertainty, the voters are not going to take kindly to that. people want to focus on moving forward. they want to focus on jobs in the economy. and it remains now months and months since the republicans have been sitting on the president s jobs initiative that he submitted last september. so let s get on to that business. congressman chris van hollen, always good to have you on the program. thank you. so, reid, are the republicans serious? do they think that they can repeal this or is it more about firing up the base and a political calculation that, frankly, talking about this is more helpful than harmful by taking romney off message about the economy? well, again, as ann brought
