SARTELL An ongoing equity audit at Sartell-St. Stephen has drawn criticism from families who say a student was instructed to hide survey questions from parents.
The surveys were one of the first steps in a district equity audit conducted by Equity Alliance MN, which the Sartell-St. Stephen school board hired in fall 2020. The goal is to identify inequities in the district s policies and practices and to help close achievement gaps between students of different races and socioeconomic backgrounds. I think things were misinterpreted and misconstrued, said Sartell-St. Stephen Superintendent Jeffery Ridlehoover. The teachers were asked to ensure that the students were answering the questions regarding their experience, and not from their friends or their parents or family.

d.c. that actually is setting federal precedent and the states have to uphold real laws and we need to do that without governor northam. what you re saying is the tip of a very large iceberg. a gargantuan one that we re living through at the moment. and to robert, because you know politics here in virginia, after seeing this i would like to get your thoughts since you do cover politics in virginia? and i would also like to get your thought on the question we re all asking, what is the heart of robert northam? who is he based on what he was trying to put forward today, not a lot of people believing he did a great job and if anything he opened the door even wider in terms of that question. well, this is such a huge surprise to so many people in virginia because ralph northam had a reputation of a soft-spoken, straight shooter moderate and he had been an army officer and a poed a pediatrician.
