Starting this column with “it’s been a rough” year doesn’t seem quite right. The year undoubtedly had its share of disappointment, fear, sadness and anxiety. It was gloomy but I hope you view 2021 as sort of beacon of hope.
It WAS a rough year but Plainview has much to be thankful for. Take a look around town at all the construction.
Braum’s Ice Cream & Burger Restaurant, Sutherlands HomeBase, Toot’n Totum – those are all new businesses that have filed permits and are in the midst of construction projects in Plainview.
The list of new businesses in Plainview also includes several local ventures – Santa’s Mercantile & More, Thai Café and Something Different, to name a few.
