LAKEWOOD, Ohio Just as construction of the estimated $4 million Lakewood Intergenerational Community Center adaptive reuse project is set to begin, the city recently received a $250,000 Ohio Capital Budget Grant toward the project.
“We’re thrilled about the grant,” Lakewood Mayor Meghan George said. “Prior to COVID, I went to the statehouse back in February to have in-person meetings, advocate for those funds and explain the community need. To now especially with our anticipated reduced revenues due to COVID receive that grant was really a highlight.
