The Delhi government on Sunday directed private hospitals and nursing homes to administer Covaxin only to those eligible for the second dose in respect of the 18-44 age group in the month of June or until further orders.
Justice Rekha Palli issued notice to the Delhi government and sought its stand on whether it can provide the second dose of COVAXIN to those who got the first jab, before expiry of the incubation period of six weeks between the two doses

Telangana Government orders pause for second dose of Covaxin:- The second wave of coronavirus is leaving the country sleepless and when the government is trying hard to get a control in the number of cases, the spread turned out to be huge. The only way to control the cases is through mass vaccination but there is a huge shortage. Several people who received the first dose of vaccination in the country are yet to receive the second dose of the vaccination due to unavailability. On Sunday evening, the Health Department of Telangana announced that they paused the second dose of vaccination for Covaxin as there is no stock available in the state. G Srinivasa Rao, the Director of Public Health announced that there is no stock for Covaxin and they are yet to receive the doses from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
