washington were today were to be today? if the day were today, john, the fore person of the jury grants a true bill which is essentially the process of voting yes on an indictment, would carry that indictment to the courtroom of a magistrate judge in a federal courthouse in washington, d.c. the rules there require that the courtroom doors are actually open when it s presented. they may go to great lengths to avoid being detected, but those courtroom doors will have to be open, and then the judge will note the initials of any defendants in that indictment. it s not the practice locally to actually say the defendants name but note the defendant s initials. if the government decides they don t want to seal that indictment it will go immediately to the clerk s office, it will be filed and we ll learn about it shortly thereafter i suspect. i also think the special counsel s office learned a lesson from the initial indictment in miami in the

those people as witnesses ultimately it may be useful to lock them into their story now so that they can t be used as defense witnesses, he can neutralize their story by locking them in now. what you really don t want to happen is to charge donald trump now, the case goes to trial, you think you have a solid case and then there is a dramatic moment where the courtroom doors burst open and some butler who worked at mar-a-lago comes in and says, oh, i m the one who stashed the documents somewhere, i forgot to mention it all this time so by interviewing everybody who had access to that place you might learn something new but it seems to me more likely that you are locking in people to have them become defense witnesses down the road. each side is taking out its own insurance policy, right sh the feds, the doj are like we re going to neutralize you by calling all of you in, trump world may be doing their own form of insurance by having their paid for counsel represent these witnesses. is
