And the jurys recommendation for the Death Penalty unanimous. 10 News Reporter Digging Deeper into the decision. Governor rick scott is still looking at the Supreme Courts drastically change floridas Death Penalty system. The ruling came down from the court at the start of the 2016 legislative session saying juries, not judges, should decide whether a defendant should be executed. Attorney general pam bondi says shell work with lawmakers to make the courtrequired changes. But says the impact on existing death sentences will need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. Mother Barbara Freiberg wants to see Edward Covington put to death for grandson and granddaughter. And hopes the courts decision wont halt it. Elaborate escape from a county jail. The sheriff is begging people live noorg the jail to help track them down. The men escaped from the Orange County central mens jail in santa ana, about 30 miles southeast of los angeles. Two of the men are linked to vietnamese gangs so they could be embedded in the large jail. 50,000. One of the inmates is charged with murder, another for attempted murder and the third for kidnapping and torture. One of the most shocking parts of the stories how they were able to escape from this maximum security jail. We are taking a closer look at the elaborate operation. The inmates disappeared friday just a few minutes after guards did a head count and no one noticed until 16 hours later. He tells cook it is not hard to be a rock star here. He offers to send cook the test materials through his wifes e mail, warning him not to open it at work or share it with anyone else and feared getting caught by internal affair.
