paterno s staff, is charged with sexually assaulting young boys. two charged in the cover-up stepped down. drew levinson has more. reporter: former penn state defense coordinator jerry sandusky is out on jail, charged with sexually assaulting eight underage boys. hes he didn t do it. jerry s very, very depressed, upset, distraught about the allegations. reporter: sandusky coached at penn state before retiring in 1999. the grand jury concludes sandusky had access to vulnerable children through a charity he founded for at-risk kids. pennsylvania attorney general said, this is a case about a sexual predator who used his position within the university and community to repeatedly prey on young boys. lawyers are also investigating a possible cover-up. in 2002 a graduate assistant reported he saw sandusky assaulting a 10-year-old boy in a shower. legendary head coach joe paterno passed the complaint on to athletic director tim curley and a vice president, gary schultz. prosecu
