Investigators say one of the suspects was wearing brown timberland boots and one was wearing a black north face jacket. Valentine avenue and east 180th street. This started in a multifamily home and quickly spread to five other buildings on this block. Meaning a lot of people have been displaced this morning. He was a member of the Air National Guard but he was also a member of the nypd family as well where this morning outside of this station house where we worked, you can see the black and burp bunting as the community here mourns his loss. The detective at at his core was a public servant, 15 years with the nypd but his service and dedication did not end there, the 45yearold was also a member of the Air National Guard serving in afghanistan when he was killed by a suicide bomber monday morning.
