One lucky San Antonio resident is $4.4 million richer after winning the jackpot prize for the Lotto Texas drawing on Jan. 20.
The resident, who chose to remain anonymous, actually won the $5.5 million jackpot prize but opted for the cash value option and will receive $4,397,867.63 before taxes.
The Texas Lotto is played by picking six numbers between one and 54. Drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday.
The winner matched all six numbers and purchased the ticket at Allsup s Convenience Store located at 907 N. Austin Street in Comanche, which is about 190 miles northwest of San Antonio.
