The upcoming election tandem of Senators Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Vicente “Tito” Sotto III will not be campaigning against the Duterte administration but will be pushing for reforms that the current government failed or did not do enough.

This was according to Sotto, who said they will be the “neutral” party in the 2022 elections.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Thursday, July 8, kicked off their public consultations by praying for “God’s guidance and wisdom” about their possible bid for higher national posts in the 2022 elections.

Photos posted on Sotto’s official Facebook pages showed him and Lacson stopping by the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. Sotto’s office said these were before meeting Malolos officials as part of their consultative tour across provinces in Luzon.
