STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A foot or more of snow, dangerously high winds, power outages and travel disruptions could be in store for Staten Island and the rest of New York City as a massive nor’easter approaches.
Staten Island likely will see a wintry mix with six to eight inches of water-logged snow, although 12 inches of white powder is possible during the slow-moving storm, which is expected to last through Thursday morning’s rush hour, according to Tyler Roys, senior meteorologist with AccuWeather.com.
