A grass fire, suspected to be arson, is being investigated by Hudson’s Hope Fire Department and RCMP.
The fire was on Canyon Drive near Signal Hill in Hudson’s Hope, B.C. on May 8. The fire department was dispatched to the scene around 10:35 p.m. and were able to put the fire out quickly.
“The fire appears to have been human caused,” stated Hudson’s Hope Fire Chief, Brad Milton. “This was a very careless act. Things could have turned very bad, very quickly. A fire like this could have run into the trees, putting our community, property and human safety at extreme risk with how dry the current conditions are.”
