Letting us into your homes during these extraordinary times. We are grateful. The beat with Ari Melber starts right now. Hi, ari. Hi, nicolle. Thanks so much. Welcome to The Beat. Im aarri melber. It is tuesday, exactly one month out from the election. I can tell you off top one of the most common maga Talking Points about Kamala Harris that youve probably heard is taking a hard fall today. Trump has been arguing that she wasnt doing any or enough press interviews. And youll remember when she first stepped up as the nominee. It was a frenetic stretch where she launched a new campaign, a convention, a fundraising operation, and picked a running mate. All of that over several weeks, faster than anyone in history because of the switch. And trump and his allies had been hammering that she wasnt doing interviews then or enough. Theyve been hammering this line of attack. Well, the harder they come, the harder they fall, one and all. As Jimmy Cliff famously put it. Respect. Because that would
I was so confused. I didnt think it was real. In the rarefied world of the Ivy League, he was the total package. Star student. Gifted athlete. Wildly popular. Hes one of the nicest guys ever. A brave son protecting his mom. Was a true . He is seated behind a desk. It seems to be execution. Was as Campus Hero a coldhearted killer . The defendant sent an email to his Fraternity Brother saying it showtime. Was the truth different . One of the things that was a question as was charlie covering for Someone Else . A trial where nothing went by the book. Three of the jurors were crying really hard. We are turning around and getting emotional. He was becoming unhinged. Welcome to dateline. Charlie tan was an Ivy Leaguer with a bright future, but then, Charlies Dad was killed in the Home And Everything changed. Police w
Christopher bedford, senator James Lankford, dr. Alveda king on the breaking headlines today. Big tech gone bad. Headlines, do they have the power to change elections, even stop probes of politicians in any way . Were finding out more what power they do have. Republican senator mike lee taking it neck level. The left is mad that twitter and facebook dont have more power to censor those they disagree with. Conservatives like senator josh hawley claiming that the two plus google are coordinating to do just that. Plus we bring you jack dorsey on the ropes, forced to confess that yes, twitter did censor that bombshell New York Post story on Hunter Bidens laptop without any substantial justification. Plus weve got more on top gop senators now vowing to continue probing the bidens business dealings. We have a new development there. Also tonight, democrat politicians and officials, they have got a new message for americans this holiday season. It is lockdowns for thee, hawaii for me. Ordering
Democrats blocked republican poll watchers from viewing the votecounting process as seen here last week in a counting and Tabulation Center in detroit. Those democrats also charging, well, they are ignoreed republicanchallenged ballots, and as a result, illegal ballots were included in vote tallies. Republican National Committee chair Ronna Mcdaniel says there are 518 sworn affidavits now charging electoral fraud in five states. Those after davids allege more than 11,000 incidents of democrat fraud in the counting and voting process. Mcdaniel says republicans are pursuing every single one of those complaints and charges. S it is stealing. When you validate a vote that shouldnt be in, you are stealing from a voter that voted legally. So when you see these people in detroit saying we saw batches of votes that were invalidated, they had the wrong name, they didnt live there, they werent a resident, they were deceased, and then you put them back in the fuel of valid votes, that is stealing
How a Single Supreme Court seat can change history. And this may be one of the most propitiouslytitled books to hit the book stands in a long time. [laughter] senator, its great to have you with us and also we recommend the senators book to you highly. I want to begin with the level of fraud that we see now. Many people do not realize you were also a part of the republican legal team back in gore v. Bush. Its give us your sense of what, where we are right now in terms of electoral fraud. Well, look, weve got litigation all over the country. The results of the election arent final, and theyre not final until the matters are litigated and the results have been finally tabulated. And there are recounts ongoing. You mentioned my book, one vote away, theres an entire chapter in the book on bush v. Gore. And in 2000 i was part of george w. Bushs legal team. And if you think about it that night, that night initially the news media called al gore the winner, then they switched it and called ge
