he was following trayvon martin and that trayvon martin was likely a burglar in the nak neighborhood. the problem is trayvon martin doesn t appear to have been doing anything. earlier in the dispatch trayvon martin appears to be running, running away from him. the lead investigator confronted him, he seems to be trying to get away from you. that s what was said that he was trying to lose him at one point and he was following him. if it s true that he provoked the confrontation, it all kind of falls into place from there that he initiated the confrontation, knowing he was the one that had the gun, knowing he could win the fight and whatever trayvon martin has done to defend himself doesn t justify george zimmerman shooting him. as soon as the court resumes,

this. that is now finally turning around. reporter: on wednesday a defense handwriting expert testified this suicide note was, in her opinion, real. the note includes messages for the couple s two sons ages 4 and 2. the prosecution s handwriting expert said it was a fakes last week. after exam ing, re-examining and taking in the different scenarios it came back to the same thing. this was either a tracing or a simulation. reporter: brett was served with divorce papers three days before her death. the prosecution says the prospect of losing his wife drove him to shoot her in the head with this .44 caliber magnum handgun and set the family home on fire to destroy evidence. because of the fire and the condition of the body, the coroner testifies she could not determine if it was a homicide or a suicide. the defense will continue its case when court resumes. it is expected at some point he will take the stand in his own
post-divorce life ahead without her husband. when court resumes, a defense handwriting expert will be on the stand in an attempt to refute the prosecution s claim that brett seacat forged his wife s suicide note. it s also expected seacat will at some point testify on his own behalf. cnn, kingman, kansas. we want to talk more about this case with nancy grace. she s the host of hln s nancy grace, of course. also a former prosecutor. nancy, the prosecution, they finished their case yesterday. they talked a lot about brent seacat. raised a lot of questions. a lot of people talking about the tone of voice you hear seacat use on the tapes. now it s the defense s turn. can they overcome what the prosecution laid out? i think they re off to a good start with the half brother who was a former police officer as well. he says that the morning after vashti was found dead that seacat was shaky. but very stoic. almost militaristic.
