Jennifer Sahr has been sentenced to four years in prison for the alleged abandonment of her infant, known as "Baby Boy Horry," beside a South Carolina highway in 2008.
Sahr has a loving family and graduated college with honors — but prison time was necessary to send a "strong message" about abandoning a baby to die, the prosecutor told the judge.
