From ktvu on fox 2 news, this is mornings on 2. Im pam cook. Im dave clark, monday morning, july 6, new day, new week, and even though we have to be concerned about the weather right now outside, at this hour, it feels good. It really does. Yeah, it is lovely out there, we are a little cooler than we were yesterday and every degree helps. We were talking about our inland communities in the mid 90s and some spots. I saw the Sonoma County airport made it up to almost 99 degrees. Lets take a look at where we are at this morning. I wanted to start with the weather down near where the fires are, you can see 13 mile perhour wind, the wind has calmed down a bit from where it was last night so that is helpful. For the most part, you can say things are looking pretty good across the bay right now. Temperature wise, feeling cooler. Clear skies in santa rosa where its 51 degrees 54 in San Francisco, mid50s in livermore and 58 in san jose. Today will be a nice day, a little bit cooler, beautiful a
Anastasia ogrady. Daniel well its not exactly clear whats behind it. Obviously people are being infected. People who have coronavirus are transmitting it to others and there are things we can correlate with, it could be the protests that, indeed, happened all over the country for the last month. These were people in close proximity to one another, in los angeles, texas, florida, other states, it could be the number of people who have gone to restaurants, bars without masks and despite new infections do involve younger people, not the older Vulnerable People above the age of 70 who tend to be have the highest death rates. Some of the younger people are being hospitalized not too many of them are dying. The case rate is very high, the case numbers are high. The death numbers are not high, if you look across the states they remain very flat, so at the moment the surge seems to be located, paul, mainly in the younger population who has quite frankly been exposing themselves to one another
