Notice of Reconvening of Public Hearing

Resolution No. 06-2021, Resolution and Order Abandoning a Portion of a County Road in Jefferson County, Montana. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County, Montana will reconvene a public hearing commencing at 2:00 p.m. on March 23, 2021 in the conference room of the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder, 102 South Monroe, Boulder, Montana and at this time will continue to take public comment on Resolution No. 06-2021 Resolution and Order Abandoning a Portion of a County Road in Jefferson County. The portion of county road which is the subject of this reconvened hearing is described as: A portion of county road shown on survey map by County Surveyor, C.D. Flaherty, dated 1918, in Township 4 North, Range 2 West, and more particularly described as:

DeJarnatt honored as state Surveyor of the Year The Jefferson County surveyor counts the award as his greatest career achievement David Hull was one of Gary DeJarnatt s first surveying professors at Oregon Institute of Technology, and Hull made a lifelong impression on the young student. He taught fundamentals of surveying and made it so clear in my mind what surveying was all about that I could actually see myself choosing this as a profession, DeJarnatt said. Although I was a highway engineering major, this class and Mr. Hull opened my eyes to a path more in line with my calling.

Itasca County Board approves abatement for Anderson Fabrics

Last week, the Itasca County Board of Commissioners approved the abatement of taxes for Anderson Fabrics which is considering expanding into a location in Bigfork where e2ip Technologies is currently operating. The CEO of e2ip Technologies announced in May that the Bigfork location would be closing and moving operations to their headquarters in Montreal, Canada. E2ip works primarily with the aviation industry and has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Background President/CEO of Anderson Fabrics Hans Halvorson contacted Bigfork Mayor Brian Boon in September 2020 to say he was interested in employing a small number of part-time employees in Bigfork. At the time, Halvorson was not aware of the opportunity with the e2ip Technologies location. A tour of the facility was set up and it was determined the e2ip opportunity would be great for Anderson Fabrics.
