Arrest made following report of sexual assault in Gulfport
An arrest has been made following a report of sexual assault that happened Sunday in Gulfport.
Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson announced 33-year-old Nery Garcia is being charged with one felony count of sexual battery.

Deputies responded to Robindale Road for a report of sexual battery on a 15-year-old girl.
Deputies says Garcia, an undocumented resident from Honduras, approached the female outside her home and pushed her back inside where he sexually assaulted her.
Garcia was located with the use of a Harrison County K9.
His bond is set at $25,000 but the Department of Homeland Security placed an immigration detainer on Garcia. Additional charges are possible.
