We don t know right now if we are going to see a case of COVID-19 here in the next few days or the next few weeks, Olmsted County Public Health Director Graham Briggs said in the county s first public COVID briefing on March 5th, 2020.
Little did we know the first case would hit Olmsted County just six days later. I remember thinking, okay, we ve got to be ready if something happens here, Briggs said Thursday. .We had no idea that day, how extensive this would be.

The final Olmsted County teachers and child care providers are expected to roll up their sleeves for COVID-19 vaccines this week.
“We believe, based on the doses we’ve been allocated this week, that public health is going to be able to complete offering vaccines to all child care and education staff in the county by the end of this week,” Olmsted County Public Health Director Graham Briggs told county commissioners Tuesday.
