candidate for a position. we have to be clear about our messaging and successful wins and therefore the direction of the party, not shy away from the progress making but very direct, consistent and clear that there is a choice that happens in these elections. so our approach as we re making this decision and considering this decision is to say now we need a collective new direction where we go and to be able to very clear, that the county party, state and national party, all the work from buckley on the state level, county parties across the country, we have to be very clear about building organization, having a grass roots approach and making sure people are excited about voting for democrats up and down the ballot. this is our moment. when think about 2004, 2006 when we built, mobilized, in 2006, regained the senate. this is an opportunity to demonstrate we have many successful wins we can amplify and it s our responsibility to do so as democrats. seaabassembly maker blake, wg one

education, they had an instrumental role in raising you because of this upbringing that you who. if you want to be the national democratic chairman, talk to your grandparents about what the democratic party can offer in south carolina. there s one member, jim clyburn who you worked for as a staffer. in red states in this country, what does the democratic party have to offer other than some distant hope that maybe it won t be a red state again in the future, what can you say to them to? one of the things we ve been trying to do in south carolina, we started the south carolina democrats care. just as you said, we only have one member of congress. we don t control the governorship, we don t have any control of the legislative bodies. and so our idea is to go back into those communities, seeing what the needs are, listening to the people, letting them know that they matter and they re important, and we go into those communities to address some of their needs. so some of my county parties
incendiary and often racially charged, as rudy giuliani, could lead to ugly confrontations. we want election integrity, but we do not want and don t need vigila vigilantism. you just raised the question about the poll monitors, not unusual to have poll monitors but do you worry to michael s point that we could actually see clashes over this, and is there sort of a latent message there that could be spewinging racial tensions? well, i certainly hope not. each state has its set of laws where they could go and vote in the polling places. and what the activities could be in the polling places. so what i believe will happen is that state parties, county parties, local parties will assign poll watchers to different locations.
