Lewis County Head Start will receive more than $1.4 million in federal funding to provide early education programs and childcare services for low-income families.
The funding is part of $15 million granted through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs in New York.
“The Early Head Start and Head Start programs make high-quality early childhood education and care more accessible to children from low-income families, ensuring that all children have the opportunities they need to reach their full potential,” said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
