Retired foxhound Danny got his Christmas wish early, with a red fox playing in his Warrenton backyard for hours in the snow over the weekend. Disneyâs animated 1981 âThe Fox and the Houndâ focuses on the complicated relationship of Tod the fox and Copper the foxhound. Granted, it anthropomorphizes the interspecies bond like only Hollywood can, but at the same time, it tells a heart-warming story of acceptance and friendship.Â
