The state trails only Florida in having the most variant cases with 2,262.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI Macomb County health officials said Thursday that the department is providing some St. Clair Shores residents with water filter kits and faucet and pitcher filters after water samples from the city s municipal water system showed lead levels in the drinking water exceeding state standards.
St. Clair Shores officials reported the elevated lead levels Wednesday. The county in a news release said the water testing occurred as part of routine compliance sampling required by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy under the state s Safe Drinking Water Act.
