Neighbor saves dog; crews rescue other animals from Sunday fire in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. Emergency officials in Casper say that a residential fire was noticed by a Casper Fire-EMS Battalion Chief who happened to be in the area. It is reported that several animals were rescued from the home, including a dog that was rescued buy a citizen.
According to a written statement sent to media Sunday night, the on-duty Battalion Chief was in the River West area of Casper, and noticed significant smoke Sunday afternoon. Structure fire response crews were dispatched to the area, including four fire engines and a truck. In addition, a fire engine from Natrona County Fire District, which was reportedly in the area, responded to the scene.
