Baltimore County Council is scheduled to vote Monday on a bill that would prevent landlords from rejecting renters solely because they want to use a federal housing voucher.
The Baltimore County executive, the top county administrative officer and members of the County Council would receive raises of about 10 percent under a new proposal. Salaries for the council and county executive were last increased in 2014.
Last month Baltimore County's inspector general opened an investigation into a complaint that a political fundraising event for County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. influenced his administration’s decision to sign off on the Eagle Transfer Station.
The bill would require the county administrative officer to give the County Council notice of any request to waive a development fee. Such notice isn’t currently required.
