SCHP: Florida felony suspect dies after police chase, crash in Dorchester County Drew Tripp © Provided by WCIV Charleston South Carolina authorities say a Florida felony suspect is dead after crashing his vehicle while trying to evade local police Thursday morning in Dorchester County. The two-vehicle wreck happened around 11:35 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 15 near Fox Run Road, located about 5 miles south of the town of St. George near the Grover community. South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as the driver of a 2013 Ford Mustang was heading south on Hwy. 15, with St. George Police officers in pursuit. According to State Troopers, the Mustang driver went off the the road, lost control, then came back onto the highway and into the oncoming lane, where the Mustang collided with a Ford Fusion sedan headed north.
