Warner Robins Mayor Randy Toms acknowledges city employee who attempted to save fire victims

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. During Monday night s council meeting, Mayor Randy Toms honored Warner Robins Recreation employee James Cody, who stopped to try and help during Saturday morning s fire. He saw what he thought was smoke coming from the back of the building, maybe somebody was burning some leaves in the backyard. He went closer to the house and he found out it was a house fire on Suzanne, says Toms.

CENTERVILLE, Ga. Investigators are trying to figure out how a woman died in Centerville Wednesday morning.
Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin says the woman’s body was discovered near Centerville Elementary School.
The Centerville Police Department is investigating the case.
Right now they do not know if the woman died of natural causes or from something else.
Galpin says she is elderly.
They are working to find her family so they can let them know before they release her name.
