The Palmetto Adoption Center is at a “critical population level” for dogs. Since the beginning of 2023, Manatee County Animal Welfare has accepted an average of 300 pets per month. Many have been surrendered as owners cannot afford to take care of them. Adoption Fees Are Waived Through April 30th
