Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Wednesday said he would emphasise Thailand’s full reopening when he meets with leaders of other countries during the 2nd Asean-US Special Summit in Washington on Thursday and Friday.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Assoc Prof Dr Thira Woratanarat from Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Medicine advised the government to hold off on fully reopening the country.
The third phase of the “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” (We Travel Together) government subsidy has proved to be a huge success, generating up to 5.19 billion baht for the tourism industry since it was launched in October.
