Whether it s watching 2020 disappear in a blaze of fireworks, or partying with bubbles and cocktails, there are plenty of New Year s Eve options in Marlborough. Among hospitality venues gearing up for Thursday night is Blenheim s DOLCE Café, Restaurant & Bar. Owner Owen Rarity said he was pretty disappointed last year when he went into town on New Year s Eve last year. “Nothing was organised. It was a ghost town, the streets were empty, it was a bad look for visitors to our town, so I decided this year I would create my own event,” Rarity said.
