CrossCountry Mortgage and Society of Financial Service Professionals announce new partnership
CUMBERLAND – CrossCountry Mortgage LLC, a nationwide mortgage lender headquartered in Brecksville, Ohio, announced it is joining forces as a corporate partner with the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
CCM’s goal with this partnership is to educate FSP members about home equity conversion mortgages, HECMs/reverse mortgages, help them understand the benefits of these types of loans and show them how they can help their clients utilize housing wealth in retirement income planning, according to a press release.
CCM has an HECM team comprised of lending professionals with over 50 years of combined HECM/reverse mortgage experience. The HECM Division is headed by Susan Pomfret, of Cumberland, who was one of the first to originate a HECM back in 1989 as part of the FHA Pilot Program.

CLEVELAND, Ohio An state Ohio agency on Thursday awarded nearly $4.5 million in historic preservation tax credits for a project that involves a Brecksville-based mortgage lender redeveloping several buildings along Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland to build the company’s new home.
CrossCountry Mortgage plans to provide workspace for 500 people in the six-acre site in the 2100 block of Superior Avenue, with room to grow to up to 750 employees. CEO Ron Leonhardt Jr. has talked about the move from the suburbs to the city for some time.
