address, so we ll just have to let facts play out, and as to the romney campaign, they are focused on getting the jobs in this country growing, getting the economy moving again and mitt, of course, is uniquely situated, given his private sector background to lead the country forward on that and many other issues. why do you think the latest quinnipiac poll has herman cain at 30% and mitt romney all the way back at 23%? as you know, these polls are snapshots in time, and, of course, with respect to the campaign and the polls overall, they go up. they go down and you can t look at any one poll and make a final conclusion but what i do know is this. they are not going in the right direction for mitt romney and he has so many advantages over herman cain with money and campaign organization and an airplane. cain has only a fraction of romney s advantages in the field. well, andrea, you know this. this is a long road, and, of course, you ve got to have not only be able to run the gau
business community does not have any confidence in the government to do anything. specifically, is specifically here, what are the one or two initiatives that president obama needs to unveil next week to make ceos like yourself more confident, more willing to invest in higher initial terms? craig, it has to be comprehensive. there s a distinction in the minds between ceos between work and job. a job can t be created in a vacuum. it has to be created as part of an overall economic game plan to get the company get the country growing. it s going to be a focus on tax reform, it has to be on regulatory reform, trade and investment and building consumer confidence. so it has to be comprehensive. you can put people to work, but that s not a job. a job is mobility, it s sustainability, it s increasing productivity for the country as well as creating a sense of security for the employee.
it s not like the soviet union or cuba, you can t get rich. this is a country that gets retch and people are becoming billionaires, faster and faster and faster, and easy access to capital and the markets, you can start a business and go public, in a couple of years. every year we get to the case where it s faster and that s going to keep the country growing. and unless they confiscate everything and you can t have private ownership, we re always going to do well in the long haul and this is part of that decade. are we getting close to that though, eric? w . yes, you can get rich in this country quicker it you re employed by the government and you re going to get richer going in the government than the facebook founder that s one guy. and hold on. going to be billionaires all the time and the bottom line is, government is the only people government hiring is up 2% while the rest of the country hiring is down 7% since the recession started.
