we re standing in front of a wall of signs left behind by the counter-protester,s i what pan down the line but there are a few that have language not appropriate for television show in this time of day. but only a few and that sort of matches up with the general breakdown of what we saw here. mostly 99.9% came because they wanted to give a message of unity, a message to the president to the country that they weren t going to tolerate hate speech and division. now there were some people who took out their anger on police officers. some people who got arrested and some people acting inappropriately. but all day long i ve been thinking about something that one of these counter-protesters said to me this morning about who he wanted to see in the crowd of marchers with him. take a listen to this. they should by a majority of white movement. i mariean blacks should only be here supporting white marchers
and appointed him an attorney. here is where things get very interesting. no bond was set, according to the judge because when he went out to the public defender s office, he couldn t appoint him a public defender then and there. the judge mentioning a member of the public defender s office had a relative hurt or involved in the incident, so he had to go through the next list of attorneys he could appoint. at the end of the day, he appointed fields an attorney and determines that at this point, no bond was set and the next hearing was august 25th. outside this courtroom, right after that, moments after that, emotions flared between the right rally participant and a counter protester. they were in a shouting match. now, that ended very peacefully once the police got involved and escorted the two protesters to the police department. again, the news out of
different list and has assigned a public defender for fields in this case. again, no bond has been set and the next bond hearing is set for august 25th. now, emotions flaired outside the court after this announcement was made by the judge. it was a member of unite the right rally. he never gave his name, but blamed the media for the coverage and blamed the media for what was happening in charlottesville and a counter protester was screaming at this individual until the police, you know, finally escorted this individual into the police department and separated those two groups. again, john, the breaking news here out of charlottesville is no bond has been set in the case of jason alex fields jr., charged with one count of second degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and one count of hit and run.
