The Tennessee Registry of Election Finance (TREF) recently dismissed a complaint brought in June against the Hendersonville Firefighters PAC.
Hendersonville resident Pam Lecerf filed a sworn complaint June 3 alleging the PAC, a political arm of Hendersonville Firefighters Association Local 3460, violated state election law by failing to disclose who was contributing to the organization.
The six-member, independent board responsible for the enforcement of state campaign finance laws voted in September to hold a show-cause hearing on the matter at its next meeting.
The board met on Dec. 7 and voted to dismiss the complaint, according to Lauren Topping, General Counsel for the Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance.
