Springfield s council meeting Monday night was full of heartfelt goodbyes and excited hellos as new council members took their seats on the city s governing body. During the meeting, outgoing General Seat A Councilwoman Jan Fisk and Zone 1 Councilwoman Phyllis Ferguson passed the torch to Heather Hardinger and Angela Romine, who officially began their four-year terms with a council lunch meeting Tuesday. Fisk and Ferguson also gave speeches thanking the volunteer council, city staff and all the residents of Springfield.
