[1] Norvin Ymbong, deputy project manager for systems and stakeholders relations of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), said the first part, called Package 1, spanning about 2.38 kilometers of dedicated lane with four bus stations from the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) along Natalio Bacalso Ave. to the Capitol area, along Osmeña Blvd. will be operational in December this year. The original target was October 2016 but it has been reset three times already (December 2017, January 2020 and December 2021).

+ April 20, 2021 THE Cebu City Government is most likely to buy as its third vaccine of choice Covaxin, which the country s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) Monday, April 19.
The City Council though has not yet decided to approve the purchase. During its special session on the same day, Councilor Alvin Dizon or anyone else in the consultation platform didn t know yet about the grant of EUA to Covaxin and Janssen vaccines. Dizon had asked for deferring its choice of Covaxin pending the completion of its questioned trials in India and the local FDA s action on its EUA.

+ January 29, 2021 WHEN in Cebu City, used masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) should be disposed properly in the coming days or face penalties.
This, as the Cebu City Council approved on Jan. 27, 2021 an ordinance which prohibits the improper disposal of face masks and other Covid-19 PPEs.
The ordinance authored by Councilor Alvin Dizon mandates the public to separate used masks and PPEs from regular trash by putting them in a yellow plastic bag or by marking the trash bag with a yellow line indicating the international color code for hazardous waste.

+ January 08, 2021 MEDICAL frontliners will be the first to be vaccinated once the Cebu City Government has a Covid-19 vaccine.
Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella, in a press conference on Jan. 8, 2021, said the medical frontliners are the most exposed to the suspected and confirmed Covid-19 patients, so there is a need to prioritize them.
Labella said next in line are the police and military forces.
Labella said law enforcement groups have been deployed to man the checkpoints around the city since the city was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in March 2020.
Other sectors to be prioritized in the vaccination program are the senior citizens and those considered the “poorest of the poor.”
