Los Altos council to intervene in Lee Eng-Moos dispute

Written by Bruce Barton A three-member Los Altos City Council majority agreed last week to intervene in the ongoing dispute surrounding an Asian-American council member and a young Black activist. Members plan to place the issue on the agenda at the council meeting scheduled next Tuesday. Toward the end of the council’s May 11 meeting, Councilmember Sally Meadows suggested the need “to come up with a solution for this council and the public … to get our community back together.” Meadows told the Town Crier last week her understanding is that Mayor Neysa Fligor and Councilmember Jonathan Weinberg would work on the specifics of the discussion and agendize it for Tuesday’s meeting.

Letters to the Editor: Bullied council member, mayor s leadership

Stop bullying council member This an open letter to Kenan Moos, Justice Vanguard, the Town Crier and Los Altos Mayor Neysa Fligor. Stop bullying and harassing Los Altos City Councilmember Lynette Lee Eng. She has explained how Mr. Moos’ text messages concerned her. She doesn’t need to justify her concern to anyone, nor does she need to apologize for her feelings. To say that she felt that way simply because Mr. Moos is a Black man is ridiculous. This isn’t about race. It is about a young man who refuses to accept the fact that someone disagrees with his way of thinking.
