The council meets every week virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic with a full agenda of city issues. This week the council eased parking restrictions which could lead to more residential growth downtown and approved a new industrial zone that could recruit more businesses to Ames.

The Ames City Council voted 5-1 to extend the face-covering ordinance to June 30 but voted unanimously to end a suspension on vendor licenses.
