The only contested race for the May 4 primary ballot in Guernsey County will be a race for the Cambridge Ward 4 Republican nomination to the General Election later this year.
Candidates Samuel Grubbs and Mike Zaleski will appear on the primary ballot for the 400 registered Republican voters in Ward 4. Only the people who live in Cambridge Ward 4 that want to cast a vote for Grubbs or Zaleski will need to fill out a ballot, said Lori Bamfield, executive director of the Guernsey County Board of Elections. There are no other city-wide or county-wide races or issues on the ballot.
