LONG ROAD: 20mph for whole town a long way of but possible COUNCILLORS hope to thrash out details of how a new 20mph speed restriction zone could work in Kendal. At a meeting on Monday night, the town council looked at how the 20mph plans could be progressed. Councillor Jon Owens, who chaired the environment and highways committee at Kendal Town Council, was keen to find ways to get the project rolling. He said: It s a fantastic project and I am keen to move it on. We now have significant scope to move towards a better Kendal in the future.
