Green Flags are flying high across Wicklow after 22 primary and secondary schools accepted their well-deserved Green Flags at a ceremony in The Helix in Dublin last week.
The décor inside Arklow and Wicklow town libraries has been transformed with the installation of new United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) wall art and cube seating, sponsored by SSE Renewables.
The approval of funding for the revamp of Bray’s Ballywaltrim Library has been hailed as a “game changer” by local politicians and Wicklow County Council, after the maximum grant of €3m was allocated to help bankroll the project. The investment will mean the existing Ballywaltrim Library will almost quadruple in size and provide a modern public library space for the community.
