TAUNTON Now that Gov. Charlie Baker has cut off giving first vaccine doses to most municipalities, including Taunton, seniors may be wondering how they will get their second dose.
According to a Facebook post from the city, those who got their vaccines through the city s vaccination clinics last month will still get their second dose from the city.
However, the post said, the city did not receive the second doses of the vaccine that were scheduled to be shipped to them this week, so they will not be holding a clinic.
The Mayor s Office said Tuesday that they were informed Monday evening that Brewster Ambulance will be getting second doses for Taunton next week. Once they receive the vaccines they will plan a clinic.

The Health District has also been inoculating those eligible for COVID-19 vaccine during weekdays at the district office on Westwood Drive.
Menchhofer said the Council on Aging’s Senior Center provides more space and allows the Health District to provide more vaccinations at one time, due to the 15-minute waiting period required after receiving the vaccine.
